Love the idea of helping out locally.

Whether or not we have that opportunity, we can also help out online in forums where folks are asking entrepreneurial / business questions.

The way I do that is I created a podcast sharing my best entrepreneurial advice (with nothing held back) and created a free/open facebook group called 'Our Highest Work' to answer people's questions ... and inspire members to help each other.

Hi Rob, We started a similar effort in Jackson, WY over a year ago. We call ourselves Silicon Couloir. Check out www.siliconcouloir.com. (just launched a week ago so a work in progress) Last year, we hosted 10 Chance Meetings networking meetings and we had over 100 people at our last event (Hosted the first Monday of every month if you ever get to Jackson), a first ever Pitch Day Sept 2012, 12 angel/mentor presentations, and this year we have a lot more on tap. Thanks Brad! We're up at Flathead Lake (about 100 miles north of Missoula) for a two week vacation. The local entrepreneurs group found out we were here and asked me to join them for a session so I'm doing that Wednesday. Starting to feel like our ancestors must have felt sitting around the campfire passing down the lessons (both what worked and what didn't) on solving the problems of their times...
